    Sermon Title : From Wishing for Blessings to Becoming a Blessing

    Bible Verses : Genesis 12:2; Isaiah 58:6–10

    1. ECF will celebrate its 70th Anniversary on Sunday, 8 March. There will be no regular morning services as the whole church gathers to give thanks for God’s faithful leading over the past 70 years.

      A Thanksgiving Service will be held at 3pm at Calvary Baptist Church, followed by a Celebration Dinner at 7pm at Bliss Garden (Expo).

      This celebration is not only about remembering the past, but about recognising God’s calling and moving forward together with clarity of vision and purpose.

    2. Lent begins this coming Wednesday, Ash Wednesday. This is a season of reflection, prayer, and drawing closer to God as we remember Jesus’ sacrifice and realign our lives with Him.

      Our Lent fasting and devotional guide is available in hard copy upon request from the ushers, and we will also be sending it through the cell group chats. We encourage everyone to prepare their hearts to practise prayer and fasting during this season.

    3. The Church 70th Anniversary Organising Committee will be holding a working committee briefing meeting today at 1pm in #74 after the English Service. All members serving in the 70th anniversary celebrations are requested to attend punctually.

    4. There will be no Elderly Bible Study this Wednesday as it falls on the second day of the Lunar New Year. Also, please note that on 25 February, the regular session will be replaced with a Chinese New Year fellowship gathering at 11am. Do take note of the change in timing. All are welcome!

    1. As Chinese New Year approaches this Tuesday, let us pray that we will be a good testimony to our family and friends. May our words, attitudes, and actions reflect Christ’s love and grace, and may God use our gatherings to open hearts and create opportunities for meaningful conversations about faith.
