English Service Weekly Bulletin 8th February 2026
Welcome to ECF Holy Word Church! We gather with grateful hearts to worship our faithful and unchanging God. May we be renewed in Christ, strengthened in our relationships, and encouraged to break walls and build bridges in love. Whether you are visiting for the first time or are part of our church family, we are glad you are worshipping with us today.

ECF will celebrate its 70th Anniversary on Sunday, 8 March. There will be no regular morning services as the whole church gathers to give thanks for God’s faithful leading over the past 70 years.
A Thanksgiving Service will be held at 3pm at Calvary Baptist Church, followed by a Celebration Dinner at 7pm at Bliss Garden (Expo).
This celebration is not only about remembering the past, but about recognising God’s calling and moving forward together with clarity of vision and purpose.
Lent begins on 18 February (Ash Wednesday). This is a season of reflection, prayer, and drawing closer to God as we remember Jesus’ sacrifice and realign our lives with Him.
To help us journey through Lent, the church has prepared a limited number of Lent devotionals, which will be available starting next week. We also encourage members to begin preparing their hearts to practise fasting during the Lent season. More guidance on fasting will be shared next week.
The church has specially designed angpow packets for use this Chinese New Year. Feel free to take them after the service according to your needs, as we share blessings and reflect God’s grace during the festive season.
As Chinese New Year approaches, we warmly invite the church family to gather in joy and thanksgiving for a Combined Chinese New Year Service on Sunday, 22 February (Day 6) at 9.30am, as we worship together and step into the new year with gratitude and hope. According to our church’s tradition, there will be Ang Pow offering that morning.
There is Elderly Bible Study this Wednesday at 10am. Rev. Ng will continue sharing on the theme “Fruit of the Spirit.” All are welcome!

Give thanks to God for His faithful leading of ECF over the past 70 years, and for granting us a clear vision to be a disciple-making church among our communities.
Please pray for our upcoming 70th Anniversary Celebrations, that through this season we will remember God’s faithfulness, discern His calling for us today, and move forward together in unity and faith as we carry the mission entrusted to us.
Congregation prayer concerns:
i. Let us continue to keep Brother Tan Keng Khim, Sister Chen Yik Ying and Sister Chiu Fong Har in prayer.
