    Sermon Title : Faithful Steps on Rocky Ground: Persisting in Obedience to God’s Mission

    Bible Verses : Acts 13-14

    1. This coming Thursday evening (8pm) is our church’s February combined prayer meeting. It will take place in #74 sanctuary. Let’s prepare our hearts to come before God in prayer!

    2. ECF will celebrate our 70th Anniversary on Sunday, 8 March. There will be no regular morning services that day. The church will gather for a 70th Anniversary Thanksgiving Service at 3pm at Calvary Baptist Church, followed by a Celebration Dinner at 7pm at Bliss Garden (Expo).

      Dinner registration is now open. The early bird price has ended. The regular price of $70 applies for all adult registrations, $30 for children aged 4–12, and free for children below 4. The registration booth is still open today for sign-ups and payment. All new registrations after 31 January will be charged at the regular price of $70.

      Registration is available at the counter outside #70 after the Chinese service, or online at https://tinyurl.com/ECF70. We warmly invite everyone to register and celebrate together as we give thanks for God’s faithful leading over the past 70 years.

    3. The church has specially designed angpow packets for use this Chinese New Year. Feel free to take them after the service according to your needs, as we share blessings and reflect God’s grace during the festive season.

    4. Our church will be sending a short-term missions team to Chiang Rai, Thailand (11–16 June 2026). Registration is now open, and all team members are required to complete the KAIROS pre-mission course.

      KAIROS is a biblically grounded missions course that traces God’s heart for all nations from Genesis to Revelation, helping believers rediscover the church’s calling and their personal role in God’s mission. It is not only preparation for short-term missions, but an invitation for every member who desires a deeper, missional understanding of their faith.

      The course consists of 9 Saturday sessions (9.30am–12pm) on 21 & 28 Mar; 11, 18, 25 Apr; and 2, 9, 16, 23 May. Full attendance is required. To sign up for the trip, please approach any pastor. For course enquiries, please contact Ps Xing Rong. 

    5. There is Elderly Bible Study this Wednesday at 10am. Rev. Ng will continue sharing on the theme “Fruit of the Spirit.” All are welcome!

    1. Please pray for the preparations of our 70th Anniversary Celebrations happening in two months’ time. As planning moves into full gear, pray for wisdom and strength for all who are involved. May we not lose sight of the heart of this celebration, to remember God’s faithfulness and to envision the legacy we are called to carry forward.
